King Edward Catering Equipment is quite simply the company that designed and manufactured the world's very first "counter top" potato baker. Thanks to the King Edward Potato Baker's innovative design and appeal, jacket potatoes could now be presented front of house where customers could see them being baked, displayed and served. This opened the way for year round in-house merchandising of baked potatoes. Previously they were an often overlooked menu option, or at best were only available from street vendors during winter months.
Thankfully the idea caught on.
