Ultimate Jacket Potato
Always choose a good baking potato variety that has a white, rather than yellow flesh such as King Edward or Maris Piper. If you have bought baking potatoes these should already be washed and graded ready for cooking.
1. Pre-heat your King Edward oven to 200°C
2. For the ultimate tasty skin, rub a little cold pressed rape seed oil and sea salt into the skins of your potatoes.
3. Don your oven gloves and load the prepared potatoes into the oven.
4. Allow approx 60minutes for your King Edward oven to bake your potatoes.
When the potatoes are ready to serve gently press the potato onto your serving plate and cut a cross in the top, gently squeeze the base to expose the flesh inside. Dress with butter and/or the topping of your choice and enjoy!
Remember: If you want a thicker "jacket" on your potato(s) reduce the oven temperature by 10-15° and increase the cooking time.
